Birago Lion and Belinda Sheep introduce the 2021 Stuffed Animal Sleepover at the UU Church of Palo Alto. Dr. Sharpie and Elephant are going to help out, too.
Full script is below.
Birago: It’s time for another Stuffed Animal Sleepover! I’m Birago Lion. I’ll be one of the chaperones for this year’s sleepover, and Belinda Sheep here will be another chaperone.
Belinda: Baa!
Birago: Belinda, you’ll have to talk English, not all the humans watching know how to speak Sheepish.
Belinda: Oh, OK. I’m the other chaperone. The Stuffed Animal Sleepover is from Friday, June 11, through Sunday, June 13.
Sharpie: And I’ll be working remotely doing technical support, like helping to post the photos on UUCPA’s Facebook page.
Elephant: Dr. Sharpie, why do you have to work remotely?
Sharpie: Big meeting at CERN about next steps with the Large Hadron Collider.
Elephant: Oh. Well, I’ll be there, helping with things like pulling wagons and heavy lifting.
Belinda: Baa. As UUCPA opens up after the pandemic, this is one of the last chances for us stuffies to take over the whole campus at UUCPA. We’re going to have lots of fun!
Birago: We’ll spend Friday night in quarantine, since there still isn’t a vaccine for us stuffies.
Belinda: On Saturday, we’ll eat breakfast together. Then we have a whole day of fun activities planned.
Elephant: Then your human can pick you up on Sunday afternoon.
Birago: Remember, only stuffies whose humans are 18 or under can come on the sleep-over.
Belinda: Please ask your human to register you in advance, using the online form. Tell your human the details are in the June CYRE newsletter. Or email Dr. Sharpie.
Elephant: Stuffies, we hope to see you on Friday!
Belinda: See you soon!
Birago: See you!
